Sign installed to congratulate the Wheaton North Football Team
November, 2021 | Wheaton North sailed to victory over St. Rita 35-6 to win the Class 7A State Championship. It’s the first time since 1986 that the Falcons took home the “State Champion” label.
Quarterback Mark Forcucci connected with receiver Seth Kortenhoeven seven times, totaling 158 yards and one touchdown.
Congratulations to Coach Joe Wardynski, the talented players and their families! Some of the player’s dads played on that 1986 championship team, so it was an especially meaningful victory.
A new sign (see photo) was installed to congratulate the Wheaton North Falcons on their remarkable achievement.
