Come dive into a dream world in this Cantigny Park outdoor art exhibit! Throughout the park, you'll find dozens of imaginary creatures, called alebrije ("ah-leh-bree-heh"), inspired by Mexican folklore. They possess elements from the different animals of which they are composed. Originating from the vivid dreams of Mexican artist Pedro Linares, the artistic tradition of alebrijes gained popularity in the United States with the 2017 Disney/Pixar film, Coco. Forty-eight lively alebrije sculptures—some delightfully oversized and others perfectly petite—populate Cantigny Park. 2022 Keynote Speaker Dr. Ann Rondeau, United States Navy Vice Admiral (Ret.) Dr. Ann Elisabeth Rondeau is a retired United States Navy Vice Admiral. During her tenure in the navy, she received two Defense Distinguished Service Medals, the Navy Distinguished Service Metal, and four Legion of Merit awards.
