SUMMARY:Chair-ish Art Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Chair-ish\, an exhibition of Chicago-based artists Alex Chitty and Norman Teague\nJanuary 22–April 11\, 2026 | Cleve Carney Museum of Art\nFor the first time\, Chitty and Teague are working together to explore material\, memory\, and spatial dialogue through distinct yet complementary practices. Chitty’s sculptural investigations and Teague’s work both challenge perception and movement while suggesting the poetic within the everyday. Their work draws on vernacular design\, cultural heritage\, and the social histories within shape and form. Together\, the artists examine the intimacy of the objects we encounter every day\, with an installation that mirrors this sentimentality through works that feel simultaneously new and familiar. \nThis pairing presents a conversation between two approaches to object-making that are both deeply grounded in process and open to reinterpretation. The exhibition invites viewers to consider how materials can hold personal and collective meaning\, and how space can be used as a site for inquiry\, assembly\, and reimagining. Together\, their works occupy the museum like echoes not in opposition\, but in soft dialogue. What emerges is a parallel consideration of structure\, memory\, and the body in space. Their shared attention to material integrity and the unspoken knowledge of making\, reminds us that form can hold meaning beyond language. \nRead More >

SUMMARY:Always\, Adele with Nicki Neal Concert at Memorial Park
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 6 | 6:00–9:30 PM | Gate opens at: 5:00 PM\n$10 in advance | $12 at the gate \n8:00–9:30 PM | Always\, Adele\nAlways\, Adele delivers the powerful music and unforgettable personality of Adele that fans love! \nAdele is an internationally adored artist – but with exclusive Vegas ticket prices and no tour dates in sight\, it leaves some fans feeling they’ll never get to experience her music live. \nEnter: Always\, Adele. This extraordinary show is more than just a concert – it’s a full-blown Adele experience. Our headliner Sarah Stallman will have you singing and laughing along the entire show with her combination of powerhouse vocals and down-to-earth charm. Complete with the epic songs you know and love\, as well as story-telling and banter just like you would hear from Adele herself\, you’ll feel as though you’re really at an Adele concert. And yes\, that includes the famous Tottenham accent! \nWebsite: alwaysadele.com \n6:00–7:15 PM | Nicki Neal\nNicki has been singing from the moment her lungs had the capacity to support a tune. Desperate for an instrument to accompany that tune\, she got by on piano lessons until she found her heart instrument in the guitar. Touring the country with her musical family from a young age\, she used music as a way to tell stories about her unique experiences and give voice to things that are difficult to talk about. While she always focuses on her singer/songwriter style\, she decided to explore other avenues of music\, which led to fronting a post-punk band and later a folk-pop group (eventually marrying the drummer). Currently she works to train future music makers while continuing to sing her stories on stage. \nWebsite: nickineal.com \n  \nPurchase Tickets >\nMore Information >
