DESCRIPTION:A celebration of women’s history and female empowerment at Cantigny Park\nSunday\, March 19\, 2023 | 12:00–4:00 pm \nIn honor of Women’s History Month and all the powerful women in our community\, Cantigny Park is hosting an afternoon of activities to empower women of all ages. \nStorytime\nVisitors Center Theatre\n12:30 pm; 1:30 pm; and 2:30 pm \nEnjoy stories with female community leaders. Each reader will share passages from a book connected to what they do in the community.\nFormer Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti – 12:30pm\nSenior Master Sargent Erika Provencher – 1:30pm\nCorporal Terri Albright – 2:30pm \n \nFemale First in War Tour\nFirst Division Museum\n1:00 pm; 2:00 pm; and 3:00 pm \nTake a guided tour through our First in War gallery to learn about women who were significant to the cause\, and appreciate the multitude of ways that women fought for our country. Tours are roughly 45 minutes. \nSuffrage sash Craft Station\nVisitors Center Medill Room\n12:00–4:00 pm \nMake your own suffrage sash and promote “Votes for Women!”\nAges 5–12 \nPhoto opportunities with Rosie\nFirst Division Museum Lobby\n12:00–4:00 pm \nGet a cool photo with one of history’s most iconic women\, Rosie the Riveter! The WWII-era powerhouse will be available in the First Division Museum lobby. \nMeet the Peaches\nVisitors Center Backyard\n12:00–4:00 pm \nPlay catch with members of the Rockford Peaches on the lawn behind the Visitors Center. DESCRIPTION:Hop on over to Cosley Zoo for this fun-filled after-hours event.\n\n\nTour the zoo while: \n\ncompleting a scavenger hunt\,\nplaying games\,\nmaking a craft (or take it to go)\,\nmeeting the Easter Bunny\, and\ngreeting live animals!\n\nChildren ages 2–12 will receive eggs and other goodies throughout the event. \nTo reduce wait time at check-in we will be offering two entry times\, 4:00 PM and again at 4:30 PM. Arriving later than 4:30 PM? Not a problem\, activities will run until 5:30 PM. Select your entry time\, and then your ticket types. \nPre-registration required. We will not be taking walk-up registration. \n\n\nFees: \n$12.00 ages 2-12\n$10.00 ages 13-17\n$10.00 ages 18 and over\nFree for children 1 and under \nAll individuals\, including infants\, must be registered.
