Known as one of the finest bands of its kind in the country\, the Wheaton Municipal band\, under the direction of Dr. Bruce Moss\, wows audiences with its stunning sound and brilliant musicianship. Musicians from all over the Chicagoland area audition for the coveted spots in the band. Each week the musicians rehearse new music on Wednesday\, for a performance on Thursday. Every concert is different and offers a glimpse into the challenges facing an 89-piece concert band which performs a new concert each week. \nThe free concerts represent a collaboration between The City of Wheaton\, The Wheaton Park District\, the WMB Board and the Friends of the Wheaton Municipal Band. The soft melodies and soothing rhythms of their music fill the air. Stroll through the gardens\, admiring the natural beauty around you while enjoying the soothing sounds. Each garden will feature a different genre of music ranging from classical to modern pop. \nA nice selection of food trucks will be on site\, or bring a picnic from home. The Cantigny food and beverage team will offer a specially themed cocktail. On this night\, the drink is Bee’s Knees (Gin\, Honey\, Lemon Juice\, and Lemon Twist). DESCRIPTION:One of These Nights: An Eagles Tribute\nSunday\, August 13 |  3–5 pm | Cantigny Park | Allée \nIn 2007\, national award-winning cover band Maggie Speaks was asked to create a 2+ hour note-for-note tribute to the Eagles and their solo work for a corporate event in Cabo San Lucas. The show was such a success that they decided to keep doing a limited run of shows each year at festivals\, casinos\, performing arts centers\, and corporate gatherings. The “One of These Nights” lineup consists of members of Maggie Speaks\, Final Say\, Shout Out\, as well as other top bands from Chicagoland. You’ll hear all of your favorite hits from “Take It Easy” to “Hotel California” with some surprises in between. One of These Nights does not simply play the music of the Eagles\, they become the Eagles! \nThis concert is outdoors and features lawn seating. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets\, and picnics are welcome. A designated area will be reserved for guests with pop-up tents and canopies. \nConcessions are available from Mamie’s Toffee and Treats and Saucy Kat Food Truck. Standard concert etiquette applies.
